Nortel recently conducted a study through IDC on hyperconnectivity, and it found more than one in three people use social networks and online communities such as blogs, wikis and online forums for business communication. In Latin America, 24 percent of respondents said they use social networking for business. In North America, that number dropped to about 14 percent. ''The lines of social and personal blurring is much more common in Latin cultures,'' Ricossa said. ``In the U.S., you have a very strict line that says this is my work and this is my life.'' |
